Is that the correct title for this song? The name sounds too close to 'Mire Niño' off the Whisker Buscuit album, but it sounds like a totally different song so it surely isn't just a different version of the track?

There's another I've got from the aforementioned torrent of rarities I obtained, it's one of their very salsa-based tracks which contains the prominent chorus lyrics of "Sal Y Sol" - any idea what that one is?

"Mera Nino" is from the international release of Fundamental but is listed as Mere Nino on it. It was rerecorded from Whisker Biscuit.

Off the top of my head I cant point out what song could have the "Sal Y Sol" chorus. Could you maybe link the torrent?

Ah right I just took a proper listen to the Whisker Buscuit version again and realised it's the same song - just with a 1min 36 second long new salsa intro on the newer version. I got confused from the Whisker Buscuit download I had which included a bonus track called Mire Nino (2000) on it, which for some reason didn't have the extended intro on it but was the same newer version I'd otherwise heard.
The version that actually comes on import versions of Fundamental, does that have the extended intro?

Yes, that song is Ventana.

Funny thing, I recently did the same exact thing as you in regards to Mire Niño. I had to listen to both songs again to realize the other version had the longer intro as well.
